Upload Laravel Project on Share Hosting Server Cpanel Step by Step Tutorial
Create MySQL Database in GoDaddy cPanel or any other hosting provider

How to Create MySQL Database in GoDaddy cPanel ?

To upload a Laravel project to cPanel, you'll need to compress the project into a zip file,
upload it to the server, extract it, and then configure your project to work correctly on the
cPanel environment. This involves updating the public folder and the .env file with your database credentials.
Here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Prepare your Laravel project:
Compress the project: Create a zip archive of your Laravel project folder.
Export the database: If you have a local database, export it as an SQL file.

2. Upload to cPanel:
Log in to cPanel:
Access your cPanel dashboard using the credentials provided by your hosting provider.
Navigate to File Manager:
Locate and open the "File Manager" application within cPanel.
Upload the zip file:
Navigate to the directory where you want to upload your project (usually public_html or a subdomain directory) and upload the zip file.
Extract the zip file:
Right-click on the uploaded zip file and select "Extract" to unzip the project files.

3. Configure the project:
Move the public folder contents:
Move all files and folders from the extracted public folder to the root directory of your project (e.g., public_html).
Update index.php:
Modify the index.php file in the root directory to point to the correct paths for autoloading and application setup.
Create or update .env file:
Create a .env file (if it doesn't exist) or update the existing one with your
database credentials, application URL, and other relevant settings.
Create a database and user:
In cPanel, create a new MySQL database and user, and grant the user necessary privileges.
Import the database:
Import the exported SQL file into the newly created database using phpMyAdmin.

4. Test and finalize:
Access your website:
Open your domain name in a web browser to see if your Laravel application is running correctly.
Clear cache (optional):
You may need to clear the Laravel cache by running commands like php
artisan config:cache, php artisan route:cache, and php artisan view:clear.
